Business Reply Envelopes and Cards

A service that facilitates the distribution of any leaflets addressed to the recipient, either during the publication of a material or on any other occasion, and allows the recipient to return them to him/her without paying postage.

Obtaining a permit

A person desiring to get the facilities of the above service must obtain a permit from the Postmaster General.

Charges per permit

Rs.5000.00 per annum

Conditions:

  • Business Reply Envelopes and Cards must conform in size, form, and quality to the conditions prescribed for letters and post cards of the inland post
  • Envelope or card should be printed strictly in accordance with the specimen shown below.
  • If it is desired to print any additional matter on the address side, a complete printed proof of the envelope or card must be forwarded to the Postmaster General for approval.
  • The postage due on such cards will be calculated and will be collected from the permit-holder.
