Post Bag Service


SL Post sells Post Bags to the public for posting and delivery of their postal articles. It is a strong canvas bag with locks and keys. The post office includes postal articles of the addressee in the bag and locks and hands over to him or the authorized agent of the purchaser.

Chargers:
Large - Rs.7,500/=
Small - Rs. 5,000/=
Size:

Large – 970 mm x 510 mm(with one key)
Small – 760mm x 430mm (with one key)

Conditions:
  1. Postal articles for what written acceptance is needed are not included in the bag. However, if the addressee makes a written request to obtain such articles using post bag service, the post master may consider the request.
  2. When a post bag is purchased ,Post box is provided free of charge for a purchaser whose residence or place of business is situated within or out of the delivery zone where postman’s   delivery does not occur.
  3. Post bags purchased from SL Post become the sole property of the purchaser. They are not repurchased or repaired by SL Post
  4. SL Post will not be responsible for damages of the bag or it’s lock unless it can be shown that the damage was caused by the willful act or default of an employee of SL Post.
