The recipient can instantly collect the money from any post office or sub-post office across the island. Once the money order is accepted, the order number (PIN) provided in the receipt is securely sent to the payee. The payee can then receive the money by submitting the information and verifying their identity at any post office or sub-post office on the island.
To verify the payee’s identity, a valid National ID card, driving license, or passport must be presented.
Cash Limits
- Post office – Maximum amount that can be sent in one order Rs. 100,000/-
- Sub Post office – Maximum amount that can be sent in one order Rs. 25,000/-
